TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Jon Scott can perform solo as a cabaret singer (A Pair of Kings show), both singer and musician with either electric piano or keyboard as appropriate, or a piano player for background music etc.

If an acoustic piano is provided at the venue it can be used subject to agreement.

 

In addition, the various groups promoted by Jon Scott include the following artistes --

 

MEGAMIX duo: Jon Scott on lead vocals, electric piano (or keyboard) and backing vocals as required and a female vocalist on lead vocals and backing vocals

 

PARADOX duo: Jon Scott (as above) and a male guitarist who also provides backing vocals

 

HEADLINES: Jon Scott and a female vocalist (both singing lead vocals plus backing vocals) and a male guitarist ( plus backing vocals)

 

Where HEADLINES are booked to appear in a line-up greater than a trio the additional member(s) will be either a second female vocalist or a second guitarist or a percussionist or a bass player or a combination of these as requested or agreed.

 

There is no specific or implied guarantee that any named person other than Jon Scott will appear in a group until confirmed although every effort will be made to accommodate requests however the size of the band will not be less than agreed at the time of booking unless agreed later between the artiste and the engager.

 

 

For the purposes of these terms and conditions "Artiste" refers to Jonathan Scott and "Artiste(s)" refers to Jonathan Scott and/or other musicians performing with him.

 

SCHEDULE

 

1. The Artiste(s) shall provide musical and amplification equipment and lighting appropriate to his/their needs.

 

2. The equipment of the Artiste(s) shall not under any circumstances be available for use by other performers or persons except with the specific witnessed permission of the Artiste(s).

 

3. The Engager shall provide or arrange to be provided adequate secure and clean changing facilities and ensure an adequate suitable and safe supply of electricity (240 volts AC 50Hz).

 

4. The volume level shall be agreed between the Engager and the Artiste.

 

5. The contracted booking details may not be modified or cancelled after signature except by mutual consent and agreement in writing by both parties. Any such modification or cancellation shall not prejudice any right to payment to the Artiste(s) by the Engager.

 

6. Bookings may require either a non-refundable deposit or the full contract fee. Such bookings for which a deposit has been taken may require full payment prior to the booking. In the event of cancellation the Artiste reserves the right to the payments set out below if no other booking can be secured or such payment as to make up the difference if a lower paid booking is secured.

                                        30+ days: A negotiated cancellation fee

                                        14-30 days: 5O% of the contract fee

                                        14 days or less: The full contract fee

     This condition may be waived for regular bookings providing it is agreed in advance

 

7. In the event of the Artiste(s) being unable to perform through illness or injury ("incapacity") the Artiste(s) shall inform the Engager as soon as practicable and upon request a medical certificate shall be sent to the Engager by the Artiste setting out the nature of the incapacity. If no evidence of incapacity is requested or if evidence is provided no penalty shall be incurred by the Artiste(s).

 

8. Failure of the Artiste(s) to perform if ready willing and able shall not prejudice any right to payment

 

9. Any subsequent engagement of the Artiste(s) by the Engager shall be subject to these terms and conditions.

 

10. The Engager undertakes not to make or provide any facility to any party that would enable such party to make any audio or audiovisual recording of the Artistes' performance except with the specific witnessed consent of the Artiste(s).

 

11. The Engager shall ensure that the premises where the event is to be held is adequately licensed for public entertainment if required.

 

12. If the Engager fails to sign and return the contract to the Artiste and no objections either written or verbal are made before the event and the contract is fulfilled by the Artiste(s) the Engager is deemed to have accepted the performance details as specified and these terms and conditions and full payment will become due.

 

 

Please note: the Artiste has been asked once or twice how many guests he will be bringing to the venue, with the clear implication that it should be a dozen or more. Engagers should be aware that Jon provides entertainment but is not responsible for supplying an audience.

 

 

All equipment is PAT tested and as a member of the Musicians' Union the Artiste is fully insured for public liability.
